Nowadays in many places, people talk about enlightenment and awakening. To be honest, these words are used for almost everything but today I would like to clarify, what do these two words mean.
First, I would like to say that I do not consider myself a person who has achieved enlightenment. With all humbleness all is happening to me is that I am “waking up”. Humanity is in a deep sleep and people need to wake up. This awakening should be in all areas. This includes political awareness, spiritual presence, nature of life and to be, creation and religion and so on.
Some years ago, I didn’t believe in anything which was not proven by science. The existence of the one infinite creator, supernatural power, healing crystal, higher self-etc. was all mambo jumbo for me.
Let’s answer the first question. What is enlightenment? To answer this question in simple terms is “to see things the way they actually are”. For some people, this sentence will sound strange and some others will immediately understand.
To start with, we have to define what is human. Is a human only a biological machine that is made of flesh and blood? Is this all we are?
To describe a human being as an entity we can divide him into three parts. The best description is the mind/body/spirit complex. (Law of one). The body is a vessel we have chosen in incarnation to carry our consciousness.
If you think about it, every person consists of a mind that is full of memories. These memories are not our intelligence. All the knowledge we have collected which we consider as our intelligence are only memories. (Sadhguru, search to find more). The knowledge we consider making us unique has been acquired from books, schools, and other sources. (link William Tompkins) This is not knowing; this is what we have memorized. Knowing comes through experience which is achieved through our senses. We feel we think, we see and so on.
The body is, of course, our vessel which we use to get experiences, but experiences can also be collected through our conscious and other sources such as the third eye which is seven chakras. It may sound strange but even though we look at the same thing, we do not have the same experience.
Let me clarify this further, Let’s say two people go to an art gallery. These two people look at the same art piece but the experience and knowledge they get by the help of their senses and feeling are not the same. Does it make sense for you?
Spirt complex is the essence of each entity. It is this part which is most important. Some people call this the soul but unfortunately this phrase has been contaminated so much which doesn’t refer to what I am talking in here.
Ok, let’s go back to the main subject. “to see things the way they actually are” means that, for example, when we see a person, we don’t see him as a flesh and blood. He is not physical and is part of this life illusion. I am you and you are me and we are all from one source. Somewhere we have been divided into two separate entities to be able to experience the material illusion from a different angle. Imagine a soap bubble as long as there is a layer of soup around the air inside the bubble, there is one entity, as soon as the bubble is burst, the air inside of it doesn’t have an identity longer. – “Sadhguru” (Same conclusion from The law of one, Ra material).
Once you truly know this and have realized it, you are enlightened. Please note that the fact I am giving this information to you doesn’t mean that you know it. This is a piece of information that you save in your memory. To truly know this, you have to experience it.
Please note that I am not trying to frustrate you. The subject is difficult and is philosophical. Do you want to know how to “know”? Please refer to, Trans….
Before getting enlightened, we have to wake up. Awakening is happening all around the world. Things we have learned and been thought are not the true reality. The information has been hidden and twisted for the benefit of the control and wealth of cabal.
If you feel something is wrong if you sense that there should be more to life than what we think. If mysteries and unexplained phenomena are occupying your mind. If you cannot sleep at night thinking what is the meaning of life. You are waking up. This is what means awakening.
