Pineal Gland, what is it, and what is its function?
Pineal Gland geometrically is in the center of the brain. It is the size of a pea. It has more blood flow than any other part of the body except the kidney. The cells in the Pineal gland are the same as the retina in the eyes; the ancient Indian call this for the third eye. If you have watched any Indian movie or some Indian ceremony like a marriage party, you have surely seen a red-colored dot Indian people place on the forehead right above the nose between two eyes on the forehead.
OK, let’s talk about the mainstream scientist if you ask a doctor what this part of the body does. He/she will have no answer for you. Scientifically speaking, no one has come up with an explanation of what does this part does. There is, of course, some explanation which satisfies no one and cannot be proven. Any way the scientists believe is that the pineal gland regulates some hormones, including melatonin. This hormone is playing a role in regulating sleep patterns.
If you wonder why it is called the pineal gland, the answer is that this part of the body has a shape like a pin-coned object.
Now let’s go deeper and discuss what is this part is in a spiritual sense. The pineal gland is believed to be a link to the soul and spirituality. It is a link between the physical body and the higher self. To activate this part will give access to the sixth sense, which is called the third eye. It is believed that when it is activated, it will enable a person for telepathic communication. People who can remote view are using the third eye to transfer themselves to different places and “see.”
People with empathic ability are utilizing the pineal gland to transfer emotion. According to some, telepathic communication is actually mobilizing the emotion, and it is the emotion that is transferring information to another person like a carrier wave.
In 2013 researchers at the University of Michigan discovered something incredible being produced in the pineal gland in live rats. The substance is called DMT; this is the most psychedelic compound known to man. DMT is naturally produced in the human brain, which peaks during the rem sleep or right before death. The compound is very unstable, and it dissolves as soon as a person dies. This happens so fast that it gives no time to collect some samples. The reason is the obvious reason that you cannot reach this compound in a live person without killing the subject.
The compound is believed to have a direct connection to out of body experience and other mystical perceptions. The human brain is not the only source of DMT; over 200 plants and animals produce DMT.
Some people try to down grad the role the pineal gland plays in the human spirituality and say that this effect of DMT, but the fact is although DMT is a psychedelic compound, it is not changing the fact that without activating the pineal gland reaching higher self and spirituality is not possible.
Here I would like to give you and exercise. (meditation)
- Lay on the bed and try to find a position where you are completely relaxed.
- Close your eyes, and try to guide your thoughts and focus to the center of your brain.
- Try to picture the pineal gland inside your brain while trying to reach it inside your head with your thoughts.
If you are doing it correctly, you will have a profound feeling, and you may even be able to remote view it.
